Summary

The Earth is being destroyed by Formics, an alien race that seems destined to destroy humanity. Fifty years later, people on earth are still united to protect themselves from the extinction of high-tech monsters. Ender Wiggin is a quiet but brilliant boy who can be the savior of the human race. In the near future, humanity is preparing to attack the world of extraterrestrial races called Formics, which has invaded Earth and killed millions. The Formic invasion was stopped by Mazer Rackham, who crashed his F-35 Lightning II into the Formic Queen at the apparent cost of his life. For 50 years, gifted children have been trained by the International Navy to become the new fleet commander for counter-attacks. Cadet Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, 12, (Asa Butterfield) captivated Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and Major Gwen Anderson (Viola Davis) with his ability to fight in space. They ordered the monitor to be removed as a signal to end the student program. Ender was attacked by Stilson, a bullying student he had lost in a battle sim, but Ender fought back and seriously injured him. Ender confesses his grief to his sister Valentine but is further harassed by their brother Peter. That evening, while the family was having dinner, Graff arrived to show that he was being tested and was still part of the program. Graff takes Ender to Battle School, a space station in Earth's orbit, putting Ender with other students his age but treating him like a superhero, blocking him from others. Graff handed Ender to the Salamander Army, led by Commander Bonzo Madrid, who led a bitter but scary short team. While Bonzo is aware of this, he does not take any action against Petra. In one match, Bonzo commands Ender behind while the rest of Salamander troops fight the other team; However, seeing Petra in trouble, Ender came to her aid and helped the Salamander Army win.
